EL TERRAT

From a functional restaurant website to a digital presence that lets you feel the story of the house before the first visit.

The kitchen had a story.
The website barely told it.

The previous website covered the essentials: navigation, menus, reservations and contact were all there. The home page, however, came down to one large image and three equally weighted blocks for tasting menus, menu and booking.

What really sets EL TERRAT apart, the story of Moha Quach, the link between Tarragona and northern Morocco, the stone house and the thinking behind the cooking, stayed in the background.

01

Starting point

The site showed the restaurant, the dishes and how to book, but left little room for the identity behind the house. For a restaurant with such a distinct signature, that opened a gap between the experience at the table and the first digital impression.

02

Two shores

The new concept starts with the story of Moha Quach: Tarragona and northern Morocco, Mediterranean and Rif, origin and present.

That is why the new site does not open with an interchangeable restaurant message, but with one sentence that holds the house together: “Nuestra cocina nace entre dos orillas.”

The idea runs through the imagery, the copy, the navigation and the whole structure.

03

The new presence

The site walks visitors through EL TERRAT step by step: from the first impression to the historic stone house and the menus, through to the chef’s story.

Dedicated sections for the experience, the dishes, the gallery, Moha Quach, the team and the restaurant add real depth. Reservations, gift cards and the shop are built in.

All of it in four languages: Spanish, Catalan, English and French.

EL TERRAT, told anew.

Rather than simply providing information, the new presence guides you through the world of the house: two origins, one chef, one restaurant and a shared story. Booking and gifting remain one click away throughout.

The existing material, looked at again.

A refined presence is not a question of using as many images as possible. What matters is the quality of the source material. Heavily compressed photos in circulation were therefore replaced by camera originals and carefully chosen subjects.

A website that does not only show what EL TERRAT offers, but why this house is different.

The new presence combines culinary identity, storytelling and clear guidance. Guests no longer discover at the table what EL TERRAT stands for. The story begins at the first visit to the site.
